Macomb School Bond Failed to Pass

Once again Macomb had another bond issue fail to pass and this time it was for some much needed school buses. Seems like our citizens would want children to have safe reliable transportation with air conditioning.

Failing school buses and high maintenance will end up costing the district more money in the long run.

Why is it so hard to get people to invest in our school? Who really knows…

I spent a majority of my teenage years and 5 years as a sitting Macomb School Board Member asking myself the same question.

I happened to be driving in the area on Election Day, I observed a person wearing a dog suit waving a remember to vote today sign at the stop sign. It was hot enough without a dog suit on and I can’t imagine how hot that person was. I’ll just say that person was very dedicated to the cause. Never in my life have I seen something like that in Macomb.

I have to give praise to Superintendent Matthew Riggs and members of the board for their repeated efforts to better our school district.
